Is this you?

You’ve done the work.

You’ve researched locations, mapped routes, booked flights, and built an itinerary that mostly feels right.
But when you look at it as a whole, you’re not completely confident it will flow the way you want it to.

This service is for travellers who:

  • Are planning slow, nature-focused trips
  • Care about light, timing, and energy
  • Are piecing together complex routes, not rushing between highlights
  • Don’t want someone to take over their trip, just make sure it works

I don’t plan trips for you.
I review what you’ve already created and help you refine it so it’s realistic, well-paced, and aligned with the experience you want.

This Is

  • A second set of experienced eyes
  • A way to reduce uncertainty before you go
  • A refinement process, not a takeover

This is not:

  • Full trip planning or booking service
  • A rigid schedule
  • A rushed consultation
  • Generic advice

You stay in control of your trip.
I help it flow.

Why get meandering wild to help you plan

My experience

You don’t need to go on fancy guided trips that cost you thousands of pounds to witness remarkable wildlife. I have been planning and organising my independent trips since 1994 (yes, I am old), and have visited many fantastic places in nearly all corners of the world.

  • Whether navigating Iceland in a rented 4×4 in pursuit of hidden nature, SCUBA diving in the Red Sea alongside wild dolphins and marine life, or trekking through the rainforests in the foothills of the Andes in search of endemic species, my travels have been diverse and off the beaten path.
  • Over the years, I have built contacts which allow me to organise adventures efficiently. My experiences and extensive ‘mishaps’ allow me to plan and organise trips to places unknown to me that I know will be memorable for you. I understand what is needed for an idea to come together into a perfect experience.
  • While the UK, Iceland and northern Europe are my primary areas of experience, I am more than happy to help you plan a nature-focused or SCUBA adventure anywhere in the world. I specialise in secluded locations, avoiding the conventional tourist circuits.
