A Quiet Corner of Seoul
Seoul in South Korea is a busy and frenetic city. But beyond the hustle and bustle of a modern city there are quiet corners. Exploring the residential areas with time to peek around corners gave an insight into the more traditional gardens that still exist in this rebuilt and thriving city.
With a Japanese and Chinese feel to them these more traditional gardens are simple with a calming atmosphere. It is a higgldy piggle mix of roof tiles with plants pouring over, small collections of water with the ever present modern tower blocks looming in the background.
