The Atlantic coast in Norway has changeable weather. From sunshine to a wild squall in a matter of seconds. One moment it was calm and blue skies, the next the waves were whipping up and the distant hills were thrown into a haze of rain.
This light marker sits on a series of rocks just off the coast of Haugøya, marking the edge of safety to anything passing through the narrow waters between the islands. These waters have taken many boats and seamen over the years and even with lighthouses and guides it is a dangerous place.
