Red Squirrels in the Snow
A pair of small red squirrels braved the early morning snowfall to hunt for hazelnuts. Searching cache spots below the new coating of snow they mooched around for a while. Looking very damp with ear tufts turned to dark frizzed extrusions and tails like a well used brush they were cold and hungry. Bombarded by thawing clods of snow they eventually decided that a warm nest was the best place on a chilly February morning.
