Finland is located in the north of Europe running along the border of Russia and Sweden with a small connection to Norway in the far north.
Lappland in the north is dark through the winter months with northern lights dancing along the skyline. Trees are coated in tykky, bending under the weight of the frost and snow.
In summer months the rivers and rapids flow through forests and flower meadows.
Winter in Finnish Lapland
Riisitunturi National Park and Oulanka National Park are perfect for exploring in the winter months (as well as the summer). With high fells and deep forests they are two different landscapes all coated in snow.
